What changes between products?
Natural-rubber mastication, NBR oil-resistant mixes, and colour masterbatch each need a different roll-surface temperature, gap sequence and batch mass. A mill sized on one feedstock viscosity can still be the wrong work envelope for a hotter, stickier compound that must leave as a continuous sheet.
What must be cleaned or replaced?
Stock guides, mill knives, scraper blades and any stock blender paddles carry the previous colour or curative. Ask whether those items are quoted as spare parts or assumed to be plant tooling already on the mill table.
How is the first good output verified?
First-good sheet should use an agreed compound sample, a recorded mixing time (cycle time of the open-mill sequence), discharge temperature, and a visual or lab check for undispersed lumps. Throughput in kg per batch is not proven by roll diameter alone.
